LightActive™ is the highest performance photocatalyst coating available and uniquely has the ability to utilize normal interior lighting (non-UV) to photomineralize ALL organics. This broad-spectrum reduction includes all pathogenic microbes (bacteria, viruses, fungi, endospores, endotoxins and prions) on surfaces and all potentially harmful VOCs and many inorganic pollutants in the air.
All microbial and volatile organic compound tests for patented LightActive™ are conducted with low lux typical interior light, temperature and humidity. Challenge organisms are dried onto surfaces as found in real-world environments.
Representatives of different microbe types (virulent spores, viruses, gram positive, gram negative and antibiotic resistant bacteria, biofilms) were chosen to demonstrate the broad-spectrum antimicrobial efficacy of LightActive™. LightActive LLC has constantly improved the light energy efficacy and therefore the antimicrobial and VOC reduction performance of our photocatalyst products. Again, Intelligent Surfaces™ coatings can be applied to virtually any existing substrate, including fabrics and textiles.
